Gail A. Brown, 75, of Fife Lake, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 22, 1939, in Juniata Township, to the late Bird and Florence (Berlin) Brown. Gail married Jeanne Hunt on June 20, 1964 in Mayville. He retired from GM of Flint in 1995. Gail had many joys in life, especially coon hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, hunting and playing cards. He coached the Blue Jays Little League of Millington for several years. However, the most important part was his family. He loved to spend time with his grandkids. Gail will be dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne; four children: Ed (Debbie) Brown of Millington, Tammy (James) Dunne of Mancelona, Matt (Jonelle) Brown of Picayune, Mississippi, and Christopher (Tammy) Brown of Monticello, Mississippi; eight grandchildren: Caleb, Brittney, Dakota, Buck, Josh, Cassandra, Jimmy, and Abby; five step-grandchildren: Zack, Jessie, Shane, Sheena, and Kyle; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Wanda (James) Klauka, Les (Pat) Brown, Janet (Jim) Knapp, Shirley Daley, Jean Brown, and Ross Brown; sisters in law: Barb (Lee) Withers and Henrietta King; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Vern, Larry, and Orie Brown; and sister, Judy Brown. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Victory Baptist Church, South Boadman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
