Lois L. Pearsall, 69, of Caro, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 in Covenant Health Care Harrison Campus, Saginaw, following a short illness. She was born, the daughter of a coalminer, July 17, 1945 at home in Avawam, KY the sixth of nine children born to Lloyd Curtis and Nannie (Campbell) Spicer. She married Albert William Pearsall July 26, 1969 in Falls Church, VA. They recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. Lois graduated from MC Napier High School, Perry County, KY in 1963. She began her long career with the U.S. Government as a secretary for the Joint Chief of Staff in the Pentagon. Albert was working in the White House. They both attended a party where they met and thus began their long life together. After working in Washington, D.C., they moved to Ann Arbor where Lois worked for the E.P.A. for five years then they moved to Caro in 1974 where she began her work with Farmers Home Administration. Her final job was as a Loan Officer with the Farm Service Agency. Lois was a talented oil painter. She enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Lois also enjoyed reading. Lois is survived by her husband, Albert; son, Albert William Pearsall, III of Caro; grandson, Albert William Pearsall V; siblings: Curtis (Kaye) Spicer of Bulan, KY, Sybil Johnson of Tucson, AZ, Eli (Pat) Spicer of Shelbyville, KY, Joyce (Lloyd) Colwell of Yerkes, KY, Amanda Reid of Avawam, KY, Mallie (Sam) Clonch of Beaver Falls, PA, Pauline (Mike) Farley of Tampa Bay, FL; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Zorah Spicer. Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Pastor Len Wyatt of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will be in East Dayton Cemetery.
