Gail Myers of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Caro, age 61, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Mary’s of Michigan in Saginaw, following a short illness. Gail was born December 7, 1952 in Caro, the daughter of Harriet (Sutherland) Fibranz and the late Otto Fibranz, and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1971. She spent all of her working career in retail sales with Walgreen’s. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena, Texas. Gail spent her free time playing Sudoku and cards in a canasta club. She is survived by her mother, Harriet Fibranz of Caro; six siblings, Charlotte LaBlanc of Shelby Township, Dennis and Linda Langley of Caro, Lt. Col. William Fibranz (RET) USAF and his wife, Jennifer, of Richardson, Texas, Edward and Connie Fibranz of Vassar, Karen and Michael Yens, Sr. of Silverwood, Brenda and Duane Will of Vassar; two aunts and one uncle, Krista Fibranz of Dayton, Ohio, Bruce and Jean Fibranz of Deer Park, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; the love of her life, Jerry Myers; and her best friend, Alice Geister. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Connie. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro with Pastor Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery in Caro. The family received friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Parking Lot Fund or Cass River Pet Friendz.
