Tuscola County Court News for 9/13/14

DISTRICT COURT

Charles Allen Lawrie, 47, Caro, is charged with controlled substance – possession of marijuana – 2nd or subsequent offense. Pretrial is Sept. 15 and preliminary exam is Sept. 22.

Patrick Michael Gasta, 38, Caseville, is charged with operating while intoxicated – 3rd offense; two counts of operating while intoxicated – occupant less than 16 – 2nd or subsequent offense; failure to stop at the scene of a personal injury accident; and failure to report an accident. Pretrial is Sept. 15 and preliminary exam is Sept. 22.

Mark William Graham, 54, Caro, is charged with larceny by conversion – $1,000 or more but less than $20,000. Pretrial is Sept. 15 and preliminary exam is Sept. 22.

Steven John Snyder, 49, Millington, is charged with interfering with electronic communication; and domestic violence. Pretrial is Sept. 15 and preliminary exam is Sept. 22.

Ralph Douglas Englehart, 39, Mayville, is charged with domestic violence – 3rd offense. Pretrial is Sept. 15 and preliminary exam is Sept. 22.

Jeremy Huizar, 32, Fairgrove, is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct – 2nd degree (person under 13, defendent 17 years of age or older); child abuse – 3rd degree; two counts of surveilling an unclothed person; three counts of weapons – felony firearms; and controlled substance – possession of marijuana. Pretrial was Sept. 2 and preliminary exam was Sept. 8.

CIRCUIT COURT

Anthony Alonzo Dare, 47, Clio, was sentenced to 180 days deferred, credit for 3 days; 24 months probation; and ordered to pay $198 fines and costs for animals – attending fight.

Anthony Jackson Cook, 31, Flint, pled guilty to controlled substance – possession of marijuana – 2nd or subsequent offense. Sentence date to be set.

Alfred Woodrow Murphy Jr., 35, Saginaw, pled guilty to operating – license suspended, revoked, denied – 2nd or subsequent offense. He was ordered to pay $1,000 fines and costs.

Isaiah Nathaniel Moses, 26, Vassar, pled no contest to criminal sexual conduct – 3rd degree. Sentence date to be set.

Eric Michael Thompson, 21, La Grange, Kentucky, pled no contest to home invasion – 3rd degree; two counts of malicious destruction of building – less than $200; and breaking and entering – illegal entry (without owner’s permission). Sentence date to be set.

Carl Edward Freeman, 51, Beaufort, South Carolina, was sentenced to two sentences of 180 days deferred, credit for 3 days, 24 months probation and ordered to pay $448 fines and costs and $120 restitution for controlled substance – possession of marijuana and operating with a high BAC. Sentence date to be set.

Timothy Joseph Block, 33, Flint, was sentenced to two sentences of 365 days, credit for 43 days, to be served concurrently with a Genesee County sentence; 60 months probation and ordered to pay $766 fines and costs, restitution to be determined, for breaking and entering a building with intent and larceny in a building.

Terry Leon Holcomb, 48, Caro, was sentenced to 2 to 15 years, credit for 0 days, and ordered to pay $698 fines and costs for controlled substance – delivery/manufacture of marijuana – 2nd or subsequent offense (habitual offender 4th offense).
