Mr. Clinton E. Germain lifelong Vassar resident passed from our world into Gods Kingdom Wednesday morning September 24, 2014 while at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro MI, Clinton was 86 years old. Clinton was the son of the late Harry & Lillian (Ennest) Germain and was born on September 13, 1928 in Vassar Michigan. Clinton graduated from Vassar High school, class of 1946. In September of 1950 Clinton enlisted in the US-Army and served with the Combat Engineers during the Korean War. When he returned from the Army he went to work for General Motors –Steering Gear division, today known as Next-Tier. On January 15, of 1955 Clinton married Miss Onalee Hemingway, and together they have celebrated 59 years of marriage. Clinton enjoyed hunting, golfing, his pets, and being with family and friends. Clinton leave his wife Onalee, two daughters and son’s in-law; Jeannie and husband Dallas Glady, and Karen and husband Namman Shaffer, 8- grandchildren; Sarah, Dallas, Betheen, Bradley, Holly, Alicia, Nicole, and Jacob, 8-great grandchildren; Kyle, Colin, Noah, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Isabella, Aeden, and Brenna. Besides his parents Clinton is preceded in death by a daughter Susan Schark, and Susan’s two children (Clinton’s grandchildren) Jessica and Tyler in July of `1995, a brother Harry Germain Jr., and a infant sister Violet. Onalee and the family have honored Clinton’s wishes and cremation has taken place. There will be a time of visiting and sharing on Friday at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There will be a service to celebrate Clinton’s life on Saturday September 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Vassar.
