Judy A. Cummings, 70, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Monday, October 6, 2014 in her home. She was born March 22, 1944 in Cass City to Hutson and Geraldine (Anglebrandt) McPhail. She married Dale Eugene Cummings January 10, 1970 in Caro. He died January 9, 2004. Judy graduated from Sandusky High School in 1962. She held several jobs throughout her life. Her first job was at Anrod in Cass City. She later worked at Mayville Moulding in Mayville, Kelsey Hayes in Marlette, served as a bartender at the Kingston Tavern and sold Avon for 30 years. Judy loved miniature Dachshunds, watching NASCAR, shooting pool, crocheting and playing Euchre. Judy had a great sense of humor and never missed an opportunity to tell a joke. Judy is survived by her son, Daryl (Tamara) Cummings of Caro; step-son, Jim Cummings of Willow Springs, NC; step-daughter, Sherrie Cummings of Tipton, OK; grandchildren: Coty Cummings, Brandon Cummings, Katie Cummings, Jenny Krug, Rocky Proctor, Ashley Cummings, Chance Cummings, Kendall Cummings; great grandchildren: Luke Krug, Lauren Krug, Lydon Cummings; brothers: Larry (Rita) McPhail of Marlette, Donald (Sharon) McPhail of Kingston; sister, Mary McPhail of Sandusky. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Cummings; parents, Hutson and Geraldine McPhail; daughter, Debra Cummings; step-daughter, Debbie Proctor; grandson, Cody Cummings; brother, James Arthur McPhail. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Margaret Passenger of Kingston United Methodist Church officiating.
