Hugh Edison James, age 83, of Mayville passed away on October 17, 2014 in Caro, Michigan. He was born December 29, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Stanley Ernest and Ruth Mary (Webb) James. Hugh graduated from Clawson High School in 1949 and then served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired letter carrier. Hugh married Noralean on March 16, 1959 in Troy, Michigan and she survives him. He is also survived by a daughter, Shyrell Lanzon; a son, Hugh Bradley James; a sister, Laurene Martin; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Albee. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 248 West Main Street, Mayville, Michigan.
