Mr. William D. (Bill) Warren of Millington passed away late Sunday afternoon February 23, 2014 with his family close to his side; Bill was 83.
Born on March 2, 1930 in Dafter, Michigan, Bill was the son of the late Aaron & Mae (Gilroy) Warren. On December 31, 1954 Bill married Miss Lois E. Senogles, and together Bill and Lois celebrated 59 years of marriage. As a younger man, Bill served our country in the US Coast Guard, and in the Michigan Army National Guard. For many years, Bill owned and operated Warren’s Mobil Gas & Service Station, The White Tornado Wrecker Service, and The Tire Shop.
Bill leaves his wife Lois, children, daughter Lynn Nigl, daughter Roxy & husband John Aliff, son Eric & wife Sofia Warren, daughter Helen & husband Terrence Crown, daughter Rhoda & husband Ronald Daniel, son Matthew Warren, and daughter in-law Nina Warren, 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Bill leaves also several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son Mark in 2010, 4 sisters and one brother.
The Warren family will receive friends on Thursday February 27, 2014 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Friday from 10:00 am until the services begin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday February 28, 2014 at the Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington. Pastor Leonard Astrowski will deliver the funeral eulogy and the prayer of committal at the Millington Twp. Cemetery where the burial will take place following the services at the funeral home. Hanlin Funeral Home has been assisting the family with the arrangements.
