Local ballot issues:
AKRON TOWNSHIP
Akron Township’s request for renewal of up to 1.8730 mills for four years for road construction and maintenance received 362 yes to 130 no votes.
DAYTON TOWNSHIP
Dayton Township’s request for an increase of the 15 mill tax limitation imposed under the state constitution so the township board can ask for a 1 mill increase for five years for repair and maintenance of roads received 414 yes to 203 no votes.
INDIANFIELDS TOWNSHIP
Indianfields Township’s reqiest for renewal of .75 mills for four years to fund fire protection services received 543 yes votes to 221 no votes.
And the request for an increase of up to 1 mill for four years to fund road improvements and maintenance received 413 yes to 350 no votes. (Not reported at deadline)
OWEN – GAGE SCHOOLS
Owendale – Gagetown request to renew the statutory 18 mills on non-homesetad property for 10 years received 120 yes to 108 no votes.
MAYVILLE VILLAGE
Mayville Village’s request for 2 mills for five years to fund street maintenance within the village received 155 yes to 106 no votes.
MILLINGTON TOWNSHIP
Millington Township’s request for new .3 of a mill for seven years to fund ambulance and inhalator services received 895 yes to 595 no votes.
REESE UNITY DISTRICT LIBRARY:
Reese Unity District Library request to renew .9965 mills for 10 years to fund library operations received 999 yes to 312 no votes.
